The Events

We decided to look for a boat after Pop passed away. It was quite sudden and it makes you realize how short life can be. Even though he always had boats, he had always wanted one that they could stay on overnight. Pop enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He used to say everyone is born and everyone dies, that's not important. It's what you do in between that matters.

My father brought his family form Cuba to south Florida with nothing more then the clothes on our backs and a suitcase. He went to work for Westinghouse as an engineer and designed and installed most of the radiation and X‐ray equipment in south Florida.

He later worked for several other companies before starting his own company. In 1983 he decided to move to New Port Richey Fl and retire after both sons graduated from college one of them an engineer as well. His retirement was never really a retirement and gave him the time to do his research in various fields as evidenced by numerous US Patents. He later opened a company Merlin Scientific in which he used to develop products to save energy. My brother and myself where part of the company, which was later, sold. He was quite successful in buying and selling real estate. His retirement was anything but. He enjoyed the time to pursue his many interests and never stopped moving or exploring. He rebuilt British motorcycles as a hobby.

In memory of Pop:
